Event: 2014-02-27

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT: Large ionospheric disturbances were observed from the evening of 27/02/14 until the morning of 28/02/14 for the Northern and Southern part of Europe, while the ionospheric state remained quiet above Brussels. These disturbances are due to the large Solar flare (X4.9) of 25/02/14 which generated a CME shock of Kp=6 arriving at the Earth on 27/02/14 at 15:00 UTC (source: www.sidc.be).
